Police are asking for any information to a fatal colllision in Markfield
An investigation is continuing after a driver died following a collision in Markfield.
Police received a call shortly after 10am on Sunday 11 January following a report a green Skoda Karoq had left the road and collided with a tree.
Prior to the collision, the car was being driven from Markfield towards Botcheston, along Thornton Lane.
The driver – a man in his 30s – was taken to hospital but died on Thursday (15 January) as a result of his injuries.
PC Ellise Timmins, the investigating officer, said: “The car left the road near to the entrance with The Retreat Farm as it travelled towards Botcheston.
“From enquiries carried out to date, we know there was a woman in a yellow car at the time the incident occurred. We believe she may be able to help with our enquiries.
“We also know some motorists who were travelling behind the Skoda stopped to assist the driver. I’d still like to appeal to others who may have any information about this incident to get in touch.
“If you saw the vehicle beforehand, witnessed the collision but have not spoken to us or your vehicle captured something related on its dashcam, please let us know.”
