A teenage boy has been arrested after a boy died in a crash following a police pursuit.
The boy who died at the scene was a passenger in a white Nissan Juke which collided with a black Audi S3 in south Bristol just after 4am on Sunday, Avon and Somerset Police said.
The crash happened on the A37 Wells Road at its junction with Airport Road and Wootton Park.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at a nearby home on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is being held by police for questioning.

The force said: "It [the collision] followed a short police pursuit involving an unmarked police vehicle and the white Nissan Juke.
"Sadly, one person - a teenage boy who was a passenger in the white Nissan Juke - died at the scene."
Two other teenage children who were travelling in the Nissan were taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, along with the man driving the Audi.
"Officers later arrested a 17-year-old boy at a residential property on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving," police added.
"This young person was taken to hospital for assessment and discharged. He remains in police custody.
"Specialist officers have traced and informed the family of the boy who died and offered them support."
The force said it has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to a death following contact with police, and Avon and Somerset's Professional Standards Unit has been informed.
The road was closed until just after 4pm for investigation and for the vehicles to be removed.
Inquiries into the collision are being led by a detective inspector from the force's major crime investigation unit, pending any decision by the IOPC.
An IOPC spokesperson acknowledged the referral, saying: "A teenage boy, a front-seat passenger in one of the cars, died at the scene and our condolences go out to the boy's family and friends.
"We are currently assessing the circumstances and will decide in due course whether an IOPC investigation is required."
