A 92-year-old man has been charged with murder after an 87-year-old woman was found dead at a home in Exeter.
Police were called to supported accommodation in the city after concerns over the welfare of the woman at about 12.40pm on 19 April.
She was named on Tuesday by Devon and Cornwall Police as Shirley Billam.
"Laurence Billam, aged 92 and of Millbrook Lane, Exeter, has been charged with her murder and will appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court this morning," the force said in a statement.
Detectives have not disclosed the pair's relationship, only saying previously, that it is believed they were "known to each other".

On Friday, Detective Inspector Guy Biggar, described the incident as a "sad case", adding that they were "not seeking anyone else in connection to the death".
The force said Ms Billam's family were being supported by specially trained officers.
