A 92-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering an 87-year-old woman.
Police were called after concerns over the welfare of the woman at a supported accommodation property in Exeter, Devon, at about 12.40pm on 19 April.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police would not comment on the pair's relationship, but they are believed to have known each other.
Devon and Cornwall Police described the incident as a "sad case", adding that the man remains in custody.

Detective Inspector Guy Biggar, investigating, said: "Officers are continuing with their inquiries to establish what happened in this sad case.
"A police guard that was set up at the scene has since been stood down.
"We are not seeking anyone else in connection to the death, and members of the public will still see a heightened police presence in the area, as our inquiries continue."
Police added that the woman's family have been informed.
