The family of a 16-year-old who was stabbed to death have paid tribute to an "amazing boy and son whose heart is pure" after two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of murder.
Baye Bireme Fall, 16, was attacked near the Ortongate Shopping Centre in Peterborough on Sunday, Cambridgeshire Police said.
Officers were called to the scene at around 7pm and Baye died in hospital just before 9.30pm.
In a tribute released through police, Baye's family said: "We are completely shattered and may never recover from the passing away of our son whose life was tragically cut short.
"Baye was an amazing boy and son whose heart is pure and kind towards other people.
"He was ever so ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need.
"His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten."
A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, both from Peterborough, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
Detectives were granted a 36-hour extension to their custody time limit on Tuesday morning.

Earlier this week, a 16-year-old girl from March, Cambridgeshire, was charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place. She is due to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates' Court on 13 May.
The girl, who was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on conditional bail.
A 17-year-old girl from Peterborough, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on conditional bail until 8 July.
A post-mortem examination was due to take place at Peterborough City Hospital on Wednesday, police said.
