The plans were approved on Tuesday.
An affordable homes development in Coalville has been given the go-ahead.
The 130 homes was approved by North West Leicestershire District Council's Planning Committee on Tuesday.
The application for the new homes on land off Jackson Street and Wentworth Road in the town includes an area of public open space.
The develop proposes that 75% of the homes will be rented with 25% offered for shared ownership.
Councillor Nigel Smith, Chair of the Planning Committee said: “It is unusual to receive an application for a development of solely affordable homes. This scheme provides 130 affordable homes in Coalville, which we welcome. The development also includes ten bungalows, more than is normally secured on a site of this size.”
