A Leicestershire Police spokesperson told Fosse 107:
Police received a call at 2.28pm today (Saturday 4 July) regarding a report of a body in the water at Watermead Country Park.
Officers attended at the location and the body of a man was removed a short time after.
Colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance also attended and the man was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
Further enquiries have been carried out and the death is not suspicious.
A file will be prepared for HM Coroner. Identification of the deceased is a matter for the coroner.
