A programme which helps residents become more active is returning for 2020.
Charnwood Borough Council’s Choose to Move is a 10-week physical activity programme which offers weekly weigh-ins and exercise classes for anyone looking for a healthy way to kick-start the new year.
The programme starts on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Charnwood College, Loughborough and will be held every week between 7pm-8.30pm.
Cllr Deborah Taylor, the Council’s lead member for communities, safety and wellbeing said: “This programme is a great way for residents to become more active in a friendly and welcoming environment.
“This is just one of the ways our Active Charnwood team help residents increase their physical activity and live healthier lifestyles.
“I would encourage anyone looking to get more active to sign up for Choose to Move.”
The weigh-in sessions are optional and will take place between 7pm-7.30pm. The exercise classes are suitable for all fitness levels and will run from 7.30pm-8.30pm.
The 10-week programme costs £25 and everyone who attends eight or more exercise sessions will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a 12-month gym membership with Fusion, usually worth around £300.
The Choose to Move programme was formerly known as Charnwood’s Largest Loser.
