Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council said a significant amount of poisioned bait was found in Clarendon Park by a local dog walker.
It was found on the path by the brook under a hedge between Melrose Close and Crammand Close.
The council alerted members of the public with a post on social media.
It said: "WARNING: Following a report by a local dog walker one of our Park Leader's has cleared up a significant amount of poisoned bait (comprising of bacon and crisps) found in Clarendon Park, Hinckley. It was found on the path by the brook under a hedge between Melrose Close and Crammand Close. Please be aware and share with fellow pet owners."
