Hinckley baby creates five generations of women in one local family
A family with links to Hinckley, Nuneaton and Bulkington is celebrating a remarkable milestone after the birth of a baby girl created five generations of women alive at the same time.
The arrival of Bonnie-Mai Cole, who was born in Hinckley on 1 September 2025, means five generations of the same family can now share time and make memories together.
The family spans an incredible 92 years.
At the other end of the family line is Bonnie-Mai’s great-great-grandmother, Margaret Barnett, who was born on 13 February 1933 and still lives in Bulkington.
The five generations are:
- Margaret Barnett, born in 1933, who lives in Bulkington
- Sian Cartwright, born in 1965, who lives in Nuneaton
- Laurie Green, born in 1985, who lives in Hinckley
- Morgan-Lily Jones, born in 2002, who lives in Hinckley
- Bonnie-Mai Cole, born in 2025, who lives in Hinckley
The family say they feel incredibly lucky and proud to have five generations alive together, particularly as Bonnie-Mai will have the opportunity to know relatives spanning almost a century.
According to Guinness World Records, the greatest number of living generations recorded in one family is seven, making the family's five-generation connection an especially remarkable occasion.
With Margaret in Bulkington, Sian in Nuneaton and the younger generations living in Hinckley, the family’s extraordinary 92-year story stretches right across the local area.
