No local elections were taking place in Nuneaton and Bedworth this year.
Elections to local councils are normally held on the first Thursday in May and whilst some councils elect all of their councillors at the same time, others elect half or a third of their councillors at each election.
Nuneaton and Bedworth elects half its councillors at each election and, as each councillor is elected for four years, this means that our local elections occurs every other year.
Elections took place in May 2018, so there are no local elections in 2019. The next elections for seats on the Borough Council will take place in May 2020.
Just to confirm, whilst we have European elections scheduled for 23 May, there are no local elections in #Nuneaton and #Bedworth this Thursday 2 May - the next NBBC seats are up for election in May 2020. https://t.co/1fBBVaj1s7 …
