They have responded to media reports Universities are continuing with online learning.

The University said they remained committed to offering face-to-face teaching at 'at the heart of the student experience at Loughborough.'

Last week, it was reported the Education Secretary Gavin Williamson ordered Universities to get students back into lecture theatres.

Loughborough will be running a mixed approach to learning, with both in-person and face-to-face teaching.

In a statement the University said,

"With concerns in the media over the weekend about universities not offering face-to-face teaching in the new academic year, it remains our intention that teaching in person will remain at the heart of the student experience at Loughborough.

"Throughout the pandemic, Loughborough has sought to do all it can to enable effective teaching and student experience within Government restrictions.

"We acknowledge that whilst we didn’t get everything right, we did do everything in our power to ensure as much face-to-face teaching and learning, sport, social activities, and graduation ceremonies took place."
