A couple have become the first in Leicestershire to be vaccinated against Covid 19 at a GP surgery in Earl Shilton.
It happened on Tuesday 15th December at Heath Lane surgery.
The surgery are contacting patients who are 80 years old and over as one of the first in the county to be able to provide the vaccine.
More GP surgeries across Leicestershire will also be able to administer the vaccine soon.
From this week, eligible patients registered with 13 GP practices in Leicestershire will be amongst the first to receive the ground breaking Pfizer Covid-19 vaccination from GP-led vaccination centres.

87-year-old David Brindley from Glenfield became the first person in Leicestershire to receive the vaccine at a new hub at Leicester General Hospital, along with Anne Brookes from Shepshed.
