Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has confirmed a number of local services will be closed due to the latest Covid-19 lockdown.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council leader Cllr Julie Jackson said:

“These are difficult times for everyone, and I send my best wishes to all our residents in the face of yet more challenges. The government’s latest announcement means a number of local services will have to close. We know this reduces the help and facilities open to local people, but we must all do everything we can to defeat this virus. We are expecting this situation will last into December, but we will try to keep everyone up to date through local media, our website, and social media.”

The national lockdown which comes into place from Thursday 5th November, will affect the following Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council Services:

Prior to any repair the resident will be contacted in advance to check that no member of the household is showing symptoms of coronavirus, self-isolating or classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable. If they are, then works will be delayed.

Tradespeople will minimise contact with residents and remain two metres apart at all times
