One tractor and 200 tonnes of baled hay were on fire.
Emergency services were called to the Higham Lane area of Stoke Golding last night after several reports of a large fire.
A large barn containing a tractor and 200 tonnes of baled hay was alight.
Appliances from Hinckley, Market Bosworth, Nuneaton, a water carrier from Loughborough, a medium volume pump from Market Harborough, and a command support vehicle from Wigston were sent to the scene.
Fire crews pumped water from the canal onto the barn in two directions to protect the surrounding area and police closed the roads around the site.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue have said that a fire investigation will take place during daylight hours with the police and fire service.
