JAUNDICE

• 500 babies with jaundice have been treated at home rather than staying in hospital.
• The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust's neonatal homecare team treats babies at home with light therapy, allowing them to be home sooner and freeing up hospital beds for other poorly infants.  
• They are the first trust in the East Midlands to launch this service.

• Leicestershire Police Force has said that their goal has not changed and it is to keep people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, safe.
• They've been reflecting on their service in 2024.
• In 2024 Leicestershire Police Received more than 190,000 calls to 999.

WEATHER

• and it is going to be another cold day today with highs of only 4 degrees in Hinckley and Nuneaton.
• A cold health alert is still in place and the UK Health Security Agency says that there is potential for significant impacts across health and social care services and indoor temperatures are recommended to be at 18°C.
