• If you are putting up your tree remember to check that fairy lights are in good working order that's the message from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
• They are reminding people to turn off fairy lights and unplug them before going to bed or leaving the house. 

SHOP 

• Residents in Charnwood are being encouraged to support local businesses in the run-up to Christmas.
• Small Business Saturday returns on Saturday, 7 December and the council is asking that people shop small where they can.
• Cllr Jennifer Tillotson says there are so many great businesses to shout about and they need our support whether that is doing a bit of Christmas shopping or leaving them a review.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 

• In sports news, Nottingham Forest are playing this evening.
• They are travelling to face Man City.
