David Tredennick MP

David Tredinnick MP has announced that he will not contest the Bosworth seat at the next General Election.

Tredinnick has said that he believes that an early General Election is possible and therefore he wishes to give Bosworth Conservatives ample time in order to find a successor.

Tredinnick has held the seat for the Conservative party since 1987, which has been Tory since 1970.

Reacting to the news ASSOCIATION Chairman Peter Bedford comments:

"Bosworth Conservative Association would like to thank David Tredinnick for his long service to the people of Hinckley and Bosworth over the past 32 years.

He is one of the few Members of Parliament remaining in the House of Commons from the 1987 intake, and after serving the area for such a long period of time we understand and support his decision to retire at the Next General Election.

On behalf of the whole Association we would like to wish him well for the future. "
