A group of colleagues who work at Loughborough Station are walking and running all through April to raise awareness of autism.
They started with a trek to Beacon Hill from the station on April 1st.
After clocking up more than 300 miles over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, organisers said they were much closer to hitting their target than originally planned.
Bruce Astill leads the team, who are raising money for the National Autistic Society.
"I am Autistic myself, and I appreciate the work that the National Autistic Society has done for the Autistic community, and recognise that they will need vital funds to continue their work in the future. More people are being diagnosed and require support, and workplaces are working to become Autism friendly, and the National Autistic Society provide support and training to companies."
The team taking on the challenge are a group of Bruce's work friends, who mostly work at Loughborough Railway Station, with friends from other parts of our company.
"We are all doing this in our spare time away from work, so this is a community type event and not company branded. However, our employers have said that they will fund match upto £200 per participant from the company, so we want to raise as much as we can!!"
