Severn Trent Water says they are working as quickly as possible to reinsate the road.
The A447, Ashby Road (Hinckley), is closed from Stapleton Lane to Hinckley Road (Barwell)
On Wednesday, 17th January, residents were informed by Severn Trent about a burst pipe.
Today, there was an update that the issue has been fixed, but the road remains closed.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “Our teams have fixed the burst pipe on the Ashby Road and now the priority is to get everything put back to normal. For the safety of our teams and the public, a road closure has been put in place. We’re working as quickly as possible to reinstate the road and it is hoped that everything will be open by tomorrow afternoon. We know that closures like this are an inconvenience and we want to thank everyone for their patience while our work is ongoing.”
