Appeal following violent disorder, Nuneaton

Police in Nuneaton are appealing for witnesses following violent disorder near the town centre.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm today (Friday 27 December) in Pool Bank Street near to Queens Road.

Officers responded to a report of violent disorder involving a number of males.

They attended and found a male with a stab wound to his upper arm. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this time.

Officers are working to identify the other males involved and are appealing for information from the public.

Detective Sergeant Darryl Horncastle from the Nuneaton Serious and Complex Crime team said: “This was a shocking incident and we are working to establish the circumstances leading up to it.

“This was near a busy road so there will have been a number of people in the area at the time and we are keen to speak to them. We’d also like to speak to anyone who might have CCTV or dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident.”
