Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council have issued a statement after it temporarily stopped a business in Barwell from operating following complaints.

"HBBC is working closely with the operator of the premises at 3 Chapel Street, Barwell to ensure it operates within its existing planning permission and licence when it reopens later this week." A statement said.

The council issued a Temporary Stop Notice on 28 February which required the business owner to cease all unauthorised activities while the council carried out a formal investigation.

The business owner has confirmed it will now operate on a membership-only basis within the existing permission for a bar business and closing at 11pm.

The council said it will continue to monitor noise from the premises and work with partners to address any concerns.

A spokesperson said: "The Temporary Stop Notice will be kept live so that the council can take further action should the use exceed its existing permission as a bar open until 11pm."
