Formal identification has now taken place and the body is confirmed to be Mr Hamerton.
The body of a man who was found in Stoney Stanton last week has been confirmed to be missing Anthony Hamerton.
Officers discovered a body in some fields near Sapcote Road on Friday evening (9 August).

Mr Hamerton, 93, had been reported missing on Tuesday 6 August after he had not been seen for a few days.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been informed.
