The car park entrance off Upper Abbey Street will be out of use and people will have to use the entrance off Roanne Ringway.
The Borough Council has warned that Abbey Street car park will see restrictions in place for the next few days, as work on the Abbey Street project begins on site.
The car park entrance off Upper Abbey Street will be out of use, and the entrance for all traffic will be from the entrance off Roanne Ringway, with the exit out onto Abbey Street unaffected.
Due to survey work taking place in the car park certain areas will be out of bounds.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council are aiming for this work to take place in the next two weeks, but later phases of the project will also impact on the use of the car park.
Councillor Kristofer Wilson, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council leader: “This work is necessary as we aim to get the contractors on site to start work on the hotel for Abbey Street as soon as possible.
“We recognise the disruption the work may cause, and hope to keep this to a minimum. However, we ask people to recognise that we are right at the start of an extensive transformation programme that has already drawn millions of pounds of investment to Nuneaton town centre.”
