Residents of Proctors Park were asked to evacuate.
An Emergency Text Alert was sent last night (06/01) to people living in Charnwood where water levels were rising.
The decision was made to ask residents of Proctors Park to evacuate to a safe respite centre set up at the Methodist Church Hall in Barrow.
This evacuation was an isolated event and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said they did not want residents in the wider areas to be concerned.
People living in Bottleacre Lane / Belton Road area were evacuated overnight.
Rest centres were set up in Barrow Upon Soar and then at John Storer House in Loughborough.
