Police were called to the bank on Sunday evening.
Police enquiries continue after an incident at the Earl Shilton branch of Nationwide yesterday (Sunday 4 February) evening.
A Leicestershire Police Spokesperson said: "Shortly after 9 pm yesterday (Sunday 4 February) a report was received concerning a burglary at a bank in The Hollow, Earl Shilton.
"Officers attended but the suspects left the area in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Staffordshire.
"Nothing was taken from the premises and no arrests have been made. Enquiries into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting incident 641 of 4 February."
A Nationwide Spokesperson said: “We are aware of the incident at our Earl Shilton branch. We are working hard to get the branch open as quickly as possible, customers should check our branch finder on .co.uk for their next nearest branch.”
