First Covid death recorded at George Eliot Hospital for over 3 months

The last was reported on the 5th April.

The trust had gone nearly 100 days without a death relating to the virus. 

In that time, 41 people have been admitted to the hospital with Covid-19. 

The latest government stats show that a person passed away in the last week, and the hospital confirmed that a patient had sadly passed away.

348 people have now died after testing positive for Covid-19 at the hospital.
