He appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today.
A serving police officer has been charged with assaulting a woman and has appeared in court.
PC Tom Jennings, 31, who was based at Loughborough, was charged on the 11th of November with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The incident leading to the charge happened on the 13th of May this year.
It did not involve anyone who he came into contact with as part of his role as a police officer.
PC Jennings is currently suspended from duty.
He appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).
