Businesses are being asked to decorate their windows in a festive way.
Loughborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce and Jane Hunt MP have come together to host this year’s Loughborough Best Dressed Window Competition.
The competition aims to celebrate independent traders in Loughborough and to provide some Christmas cheer to the town.
Jane Hunt MP, said: “Last year was a challenging time for our local independent traders. Shortly before the competition, shops were forced to shut as we continued to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this, Loughborough’s shops put on an incredible display and there were some fantastic entries.
“This year promises to be a bumper festive period for our local independents and I am sure there will be an enthusiasm to dress their windows for Christmas. I am looking forward to seeing some stunning windows.”
The competition is open to all local independent traders and will be judged by a local panel on Small Business Saturday.
Businesses are asked to decorate their windows in a festive theme and make them as bright and colourful as possible.
Last year, the competition was won by the Baxter’s Tea Room in Baxter Gate
Dermot Breen of Loughborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for shops to showcase their wares and bring a ray of sunshine to the Christmas Season.”
You can register your entry by emailing a photo to admin@loughboroughchamber.co.uk before the 4th of December.
