Two-way traffic lights are going to be used along the road.
Bosworth Road from the Bull in the Oak will reopen tomorrow after it closed due to a problem in the gas network.
The road was originally closed due to a gas escape but Cadent then decided to replace more than 400 metres of the network.
A spokesman for Cadent said: "A road closure was required so that our engineers could safely carry out this work but this will be removed on Wednesday and replaced with traffic management in the form of two-way traffic lights.
“We are conscious of the disruption that this causes and we are in regular contact with the Highways Authority to keep them updated on our work which we will complete as quickly and as safely as we can."
If you smell gas, always call 0800 111 999* immediately, day or night. Do not assume it is related to this work, as it may not be and needs to be checked.
*All calls are recorded and may be monitored
