A new operator is taking over the Britannia Shopping Centre car park in Hinckley, on 6 August.
The Britannia Shopping Centre car park in Hinckley is set for a fresh start after parking technology company Hozah was announced as its new operator.
The company will officially take over the town centre car park on Thursday 6 August, introducing a new barrier-free parking system, longer opening hours and a programme of improvements aimed at making the site more welcoming for shoppers, workers and visitors.
Located next to Concordia Theatre and just a short walk from Hinckley's high street, the car park is expected to play an important role in supporting the town centre. Hozah says it plans to invest in clearer signage, better maintenance and upgraded facilities to improve the overall parking experience.
Parking charges will start from 50p, with drivers able to pay using on-site card payment machines, online or by registering for the company's optional AutoPay service, which automatically charges for the exact length of stay using number plate recognition technology.
To help motorists adjust to the new system, members of the Hozah team will be available at the Britannia Shopping Centre from Wednesday 5 August to Saturday 8 August to answer questions and help drivers register if they wish.
The company also says it intends to support local community events and charities, while the extended opening hours will once again provide convenient parking for people attending performances at Concordia Theatre.
Further information, including parking tariffs and payment options, is available on the Britannia Shopping Centre website and through Hozah.
