A note left on a Leicestershire Police vehicle has criticised officers responding to an emergency for parking illegally.
Market Bosworth Police said the note was left on a marked police vehicle on Sunday evening.
A picture of the anonymous message was left on a patrol vehicle. It was handwritten and said "please do not park on double yellow lines - it's a very bad example."
The officers who discovered the message said they were "frustrated".
The facebook post on the Market Bosworth Police page read: "Please refrain from silly comments and anonymous notes on marked police cars attending emergencies. If you want to speak to us face to face then perhaps have the courage not to hide behind a piece of paper."
The officer who shared the image has made a direct appeal with the author to come forward if they wish to discuss the matter further.
