A man has been sentenced to prison for county lines drug offences in Nuneaton following a Warwickshire Police investigation.
40 year old, Lee Hyndman, of Manor Court Road, Nuneaton, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday 11th June where he was jailed for 42 months after pleading guilty to possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, and possession of a bladed article.
A Warwickshire police spokesperson said: "Hyndman was arrested by Proactive CID officers on 18th March 2020 after they witnessed a drug deal on Duke Street.
Following a search of Hyndman he was found to be in possession 13 individual wraps of heroin and crack cocaine, and a quantity of cash.
Hyndman’s mobile phone was also seized and following examination, revealed that he was offering drugs for sale."
Investigating Officer Detective Constable Adie Hunter said: “This was a great result following an investigation by officers in our Proactive CID team based at Nuneaton.
"We will continue to work closely with our partners and the wider community to proactively target people we believe to be involved in the supply of drugs, and use the powers we have to make sure their activity is disrupted.
“I hope Hyndman’s sentence acts as a deterrent to anyone involved in drug dealing, and goes some way to reassuring the public we will thoroughly investigate these offences, so we can bring offenders to justice and protect our communities from harm.”
