"The grant funding will help partners continue to provide support to residents during this difficult time."
Organisations supporting residents with the rising cost of living have been awarded over £37,000 from Charnwood Borough Council.
The Council has provided grant funding to help organsations increase capacity, continue providing advice and information and support warm spaces in the borough.
Cllr Leigh Harper-Davies, lead member for community support said: “We know how concerned residents are about the rising cost of living, especially as we move further into winter.
“Through Charnwood Community Action, the Council is co-ordinating and signposting the support available.
"We also have a fantastic network of community and charitable organisations in the borough which have seen an increase in demand for their services. The grant funding will help partners continue to provide support to residents during this difficult time.
“In addition, there is a great amount of information, advice and useful links on the Council’s website. I would encourage anyone who may have concerns to have a look at the information available and get the support they need.”

- Citizens Advice Charnwood - £10,057
- Age UK Leicester Shire and Rutland - £10,000
