Charnwood Borough Council's planning committee are expected to approve plans for 107 new homes at Broadnook Garden Village.
In total, 1950 homes will eventually be built on the 204 hectare site, adjacent to, and immediately northof, teh A46 between Birstall and Rothley which will create a new village in Charnwood with supermarket, school and major roads.
The Charnwood Borough Council Planning Committee have been recommended to approve an initial application by housebuilder Davidsons to build 107 new homes.
As part of the application, Davidsons Homes said that the 107 homeswould be a mixture 1 to 5 bedroomed properties with 37 classed as "affordable".
