Road re-opens in Hinckley following police incident

Sword Drive in Hinckley was closed from the early hours following a police incident.

Following a police incident in the early hours of this morning, Sword Drive in Hinckley was closed to traffic and pedestrians. 

No access was allowed to the Milestone Pub or Wickes & Halfords stores.

Leicestershire Police said at 3.40am due to a police incident Sword Drive, Hinckley is closed until further notice causing traffic disruption. Please find alternative routes. 

The road re-opened shortly after 9.20am.
