There are £10,000 worth of gift vouchers to redeem from the participating businesses.
A new scheme has been introduced to get shoppers into Loughborough town centre.
The Ward’s End Quarter High Street Boost scheme aims to encourage shoppers to visit the businesses in Ward’s End, Bedford Square and Devonshire Square.
Businesses in the area will be giving their customers a £5 Love Loughborough gift voucher to spend in Loughborough town centre, for every £10 spent in stores signed up to the scheme.
BID Manager, Lisa Brown said: “We ran a similar scheme last year with businesses who have been affected by the construction works as part of the Bedford Square Gateway Project.
“Due to its success, we have worked with the Council to develop a second phase of the Ward’s End Quarter High Street Boost scheme for the businesses in that area.
“We want to drive customers to this part of town but the vouchers customers will receive can be spent in many other stores across Loughborough town centre.”
There are £10,000 worth of gift vouchers to redeem from the participating businesses, and the maximum amount of vouchers one customer can receive from a single purchase is £25 in vouchers.
This area of the town is currently being regenerated under the Bedford Square Gateway Project, which means the area has been closed to traffic for a significant amount of time.
