Barry George has appeared in court to deny raping a 14-year-old girl almost 40 years ago.
George, 66, of County Cork, Ireland, pleaded not guilty to one count of alleged rape and two counts of alleged indecent assault at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
Appearing via video-link, he also denied an alternative offence of attempted rape.
Prosecutors say the alleged incidents happened in the Hammersmith and Fulham area of west London between 6 and 12 September, 1987.
He is due back in court in September for a trial date to be set.
George was granted bail by Judge Alexander Milne KC.
