More than 1,300 people visited the Triumph Motorcycles for an Emergency Services Open Day, bringing the local community face to face with response teams from across the East Midlands.

Plans to create a new town near Twycross have been thrown out after a campaign by local residents and land owners.

More than 2,500 people have now signed a petition calling for the urgent restoration of The Cock Inn in Sibson - an historic pub believed to date back to circa 1250 and to be the second oldest pub in England.
