Police found a man in his 60s who had suffered shoulder, back, hip and head injuries and was taken to hospital.
Officers are investigating a non-stop collision in Bedworth and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Dark Lane and Goodyers End Lane shortly after 8 pm on Monday (27 November).
There they found a man in his 60s who had suffered shoulder, back, hip and head injuries and was taken to hospital.
Warwickshire Police said: "It is understood a vehicle was in collision with the pedestrian prior to the arrival of emergency services, but the driver failed to stop at the scene.
"We're now carrying out further investigation to establish the vehicle's make and model and are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
"If you have dashcam footage of the vehicle or the moments prior to the collision, please contact the force quoting incident number 281 of 27 November."
