Two elderley patients who tested positive for COVID-19 have died at the George Eliot Hospital. They were being treated for serious underlying health conditions.
A spokesperson for Nuneaton George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust said: “The Trust can confirm that two elderly patients, both being treated for a number of serious underlying health conditions, have sadly died.
The patients had tested positive for Covid-19.
The families have been informed and our condolences and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
We will not be commenting further and ask that everybody respects the families’ privacy."
