A5 in Hinckley shut for four hours as vehicle shed its load

The northbound carriage is closed at the moment.

The A5 is currently closed northbound between the M69 and the A47 near Hinckley.

National Highways East Midlands has tweeted that this is due to a vehicle that has shed its load.

The closure is causing delays in the area and diversion routes can be found on the National Highways' social media.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 13:15 and 13:30 this afternoon.
