Queen’s Park and the Outwoods are closed as a safety precaution because of forecast high winds, with the Outwoods expected to remain shut until Monday.
Two popular parks in Loughborough have been closed because of high winds.
Charnwood Borough Council says Queen’s Park and the Outwoods are closed on Friday, 23 October, as a safety precaution.
Queen’s Park is expected to reopen on Saturday, 24 October, while the Outwoods will remain closed until Monday, 26 October.
Olivia’s Coffee and Bakery cafes at both sites will also be closed during the shutdown periods.
The council says Queen’s Park is due to reopen earlier because lower wind speeds are forecast in that area on Saturday.
The closures will be kept under review in case wind speeds change.
Visitors are advised to check for further updates before travelling to either site.
