Police are appealing for any video footage following an allegation of racist abuse towards a player at a football match in Whetstone.
It happened at a match being played between Wymeswold FC Reserves and Cosby United Development on the evening of Wednesday 3rd April at Holmes Park in Dog and Gun Lane.
It was reported that racist language was directed towards one of the players on different occasions during the match.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Police Constable Nabeel Ayub said: “The victim of this offence has been profoundly affected by the incident and I am appealing to anyone with any information to make contact.
“Were you at the match? Did you witness any behaviour as described above? Do you have any photos or video footage of the incident?
“If you have any information which you think could help us in this investigation then please get in touch.”
