Officers appeal for information following a fatal collision in Hathern
Officers are appealing for dashcam footage and anyone with information to come forward following a fatal collision in Hathern.
Shortly before 2pm yesterday (Sunday 19 October) a report was received that a black Audi A3 had left the carriageway in Shepshed Road and collided with a tree.
Officers attended with colleagues from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the East Midlands Ambulance Service but the driver of the car – a man in his 30s – was pronounced deceased shortly afterwards. There were no other occupants in the car.
The road was closed to allow police to carry out further enquiries.
DC Adam Bancroft, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and can help with our enquiries.
“I’m keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Audi beforehand. If you’ve got a dashcam in your vehicle then please do come forward.
“Any details you’re able to provide could assist us.”
