Armed police respond to incident on Granville Road in Hinckley
Officers were deployed to Granville Road in Hinckley this morning (Tuesday 17 February) following reports of a man refusing to leave a property. Police were called to the address shortly before 8.45am amid concerns that another person was inside the house. In the interests of officer and public safety, an armed response team attended the scene. A 40-year-old man later exited the property and was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment. He remains in police custody. No injuries were reported during the incident. Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and the events leading up to it.
