Officers are investigating an assault on a security guard at a supermarket in Coalville and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
On Thursday (26 January) around 5.25 pm a security guard at Asda in Ashby Road was assaulted by two people in the entrance/foyer area of the supermarket.
He was kicked multiple times and sustained significant swelling to both eyes, bruising, lumps and cuts to the face and neck and was treated in hospital.
A 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Leicestershire Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or captured the incident on their phones is asked to get in touch.
