Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council said rumours that leisure centres are due to reopen are false.
A post on Bedworth Leisure Centre's facebook page said:
"We have been made aware of a post circulating on social media suggesting that the leisure centres are reopening tomorrow, Friday 1st May.
We can confirm that this is not true and that we are following Government instruction on the reopening of our leisure centres. Therefore, as it stands, all of our leisure centres across Nuneaton and Bedworth remain closed. We will be sure to notify all members and customers of the reopening of our centres, once we have been instructed it is safe to do so."
Leisure centres have been closed since the lockdown began on 23rd March.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said all of the leisure centres remain closed during the lockdown.
