The council’s Housing, Resident Involvement and Repair teams will also be in attendance.
Residents concerned about the national rising cost of living or who are looking for advice or support are invited to attend a cost-of-living event in either Earl Shilton or Barlestone.
The special money and well-being events are being held on:
- Thursday 2 February, 10 am to 12 pm, The Age UK Centre, Kings Walk, Earl Shilton, LE9 7NL
- Saturday 4 February, 10 am to 12 pm, Barlestone Community Centre, Bosworth Road, Barlestone, CV13 0JE
Hinckley and Bosworth residents are invited to these free local events to find out about local support services that are available.
There will be the opportunity to meet with a range of organisations, to access information and advice on household budgeting, managing debt, managing energy and fuel bills, housing costs, and benefits.
The council’s Housing, Resident Involvement and Repair teams will also be in attendance.
The events will also focus on looking after your mental health and well-being, as well as ideas for cooking on a budget with taster sessions.
Councillor Michael Mullaney, Executive Member for Housing and Community Safety at the Borough Council said: "After holding our first event, and witnessing first-hand how many people attended, enquiring about benefits and support, and frankly expressing their concern and worry about cost of living we thought it was appropriate to host more events.
"We want to provide as much help and support as possible and I urge residents to come and speak to us."
