They want to re-name the park after a former MP.
The Borough Council is undertaking a public consultation on the potential renaming of Sherbourne Avenue Park.
The Council would like to re-name the park after former Nuneaton MP Lewis Stevens MBE, who lived nearby.
The park has been identified as a project for refurbishment and improvement works due to funding received under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The name change would form part of this project.
Residents are being asked if they think it should be called:
Having passed away at the age of 86, Lewis Stevens MBE was the Member of Parliament for Nuneaton between 1983 and 1992.
Mr Stevens MBE was also a former Councillor and Deputy Leader of the old Nuneaton Borough Council and lived close to the park.
The final day of the consultation will be Monday 29 January 2024.
Councillor Julian Gutteridge, Portfolio holder for Health and Environment said: “We would like as many people as possible to get involved in this consultation so we can be sure that we get the best view of what our residents really want.
“Please take part and provide your views.”
